MemberSeptember 12, 2018 at 4:47 am in reply to: Can we change already existing lookup relationship between 2 objects to master detail relationship?Hi Avnish
You can convert a master-detail relationship to a lookup relationship as long as no roll-up summary fields exist on the master object. You can convert a lookup relationship to a master-detail relationship, but only if the lookup field in all records contains a value.
Thanks

MemberSeptember 12, 2018 at 4:44 am in reply to: How to display Encrypted Field on Salesforce Visualforce?Hi
The <apex:outputText> component doesn’t respect the View Encrypted Data permission for users. To prevent showing sensitive information to unauthorized users, use the <apex:outputField> tag instead.
Thanks.

MemberSeptember 12, 2018 at 4:36 am in reply to: How to create Master Details relationship between existing records in Salesforce?Hi
You can't create a master-detail relationship if the custom object already contains data.
You can, however,first create the relationship as a lookup and then convert it to master-detail if the lookup field in all records contains a value.

MemberSeptember 12, 2018 at 4:34 am in reply to: Can we create Master-Detail relationship on existing records in Salesforce?Hi
Converting Relationships
You can convert a master-detail relationship to a lookup relationship as long as no roll-up summary fields exist on the master object.You can convert a lookup relationship to a master-detail relationship, but only if the lookup field in all records contains a value.
Self Relationships
You can create a relationship from an object to itself, but it must be a lookup relationship, and a single record can't be linked to itself. However, a record can indirectly relate to itself. For example, the Holiday Promotion campaign can have the Direct Mail campaign selected in the lookup relationship, and the Direct Mail campaign can have the Holiday Promotion campaign selected in the lookup relationship.You can't create a many-to-many self relationship, that is, the two master-detail relationships on the junction object can't have the same master object

MemberSeptember 12, 2018 at 4:25 am in reply to: What are the uses of profile's “Transfer Record” in Salesforce?Hi
Profile with “Transfer Record” permission will allowed profile to transfer ALL records for the object, as long as profile have Edit access to the object. Read again here “edit on object”, NOT “edit on record”, so this mean, profile will be able to transfer record owner even user do not have Edit access to that record.

MemberSeptember 12, 2018 at 4:11 am in reply to: What is the use of @testsetup annotation in a test class?The use of @testsetup annotation in a test class:
Use this annotation if you want to create test data once and use it in all test methods of your class. Therefore, you don't need to recreate the data again.
Records created in a test setup method are rolled back at the end of test class execution.
@testSetup methods are executed first in the class before any test methods.Thanks

MemberSeptember 12, 2018 at 4:06 am in reply to: Can you have a roll up summary field in case of Master-Detail relationship?Hi,
You have a roll up summary field only in case of Master-Detail relationship. Roll-up summary fields calculate values from a set of related records, such as those in a related list. You can create roll-up summary fields that automatically display a value on a master record based on the values of records in a detail record. These detail records must be directly related to the master through a master-detail relationship.
The Roll up Summary field is basically of 4 types:
Count
Sum
Min
MaxThanks

MemberSeptember 11, 2018 at 7:18 pm in reply to: What is Lightning Data Service (LDS)? What are the benefits of using LDS?Lightning Data Service (LDS) to serve as the data layer for Lightning. LDS is the Lightning Components counterpart to the Visualforce standard controller, providing access to the data displayed on a page. Without LDS, each component within an app makes independent calls to the server to perform CRUD operations on a record, even if all components in the app pull from the same record data. Each server call reduces performance, leaving users twiddling their thumbs instead of working with their data. These independent server calls can also lead to inconsistencies, creating situations where a server call refreshes one component, leaving other components out of date.
benefits of using LDS:
It’s built on highly efficient local storage that’s shared across all components that use it. Records loaded in Lightning Data Service are cached and shared across components.

Hi
Six benefits of CRM software that can help your company find success.
Improved Informational Organization
The more you know about your customers, the better you’ll be able to provide them with the kind of positive experience that really pays off. Everything that they do, and every interaction that they have with your organization needs to be identified, documented, and recorded. To do this, you need to move beyond the sticky-notes and disorganized filing cabinets, and start utilizing advanced organizational technology that can not only accurately quantify and categorize data for easy future reference, but also make that data available across departments.CRM for Enhanced Communication
As mentioned above, CRM makes it possible for any employee to provide the same high level of service, by having access to the same customer data. After all, even if your customers have a single, main point of contact, there’s a good chance that at some point that contact may not be available, and the client will be forced to have to work with someone new.
CRM Improves Your Customer Service
Your time is valuable, but so is your customers’ time. And, should your customers experience a problem that needs resolution, they’re going to be unhappy unless that problem can be taken care of quickly. With CRM, as soon as a customer contacts your company, your representatives will be able to retrieve all available activity concerning past purchases, preferences, and anything else that might assist them in finding a solution.Automation of Everyday Tasks
Completing a sale is never as easy as just getting a customer to agree to commit. Along with the surface details of any sale, there are hundreds of smaller tasks that must be completed in order for everything to function properly. Forms need to be filled out, reports need to be sent, legal issues need to be addressed—these ancillary chores are a time consuming, yet vital aspect of the sales process.Greater efficiency for multiple teams
Automatically stored communication allows you to view emails, calendar and phone call details in one easily accessible place. Add that to the ability for multiple teams to access the same information, it simply sky rockets the amount of achievable progress. Sales, marketing, and customer service teams can share valuable information about clients to continue to funnel them down the pipeline to get the desired result of closing a sale, knowledge of new products, or excellent customer service.
Improved Analytical Data and Reporting
Miscalculated data should not be the reason you cannot succeed, with CRM this is no longer a possibility. CRM systems store information in one place which leads to improved analyzing of the data as a whole. Easily integrated with different tools or plugins, you have the ability to generate automatic reports to maximize your time.Thanks

MemberSeptember 11, 2018 at 7:02 pm in reply to: What is the difference between managed and unmanaged packages in Salesforce?Hi
Managed packages: Managed packages are typically used by salesforce.com partners to distribute and sell applications to customers
Once the components are installed from a managed package, the components cannot be edited in the organization they are installed in.
Unmanaged packages: Unmanaged packages are typically used to distribute open-source projects or application templates to provide developers with the basic building blocks for an application.
Once the components are installed from an unmanaged package, the components can be edited in the organization they are installed in.

MemberSeptember 11, 2018 at 6:43 pm in reply to: what is the difference between system mode and user mode?hi
System mode -System mode is nothing but running apex code by ignoring user's permissions. For example, logged in user does not have create permission but he/she is able to create a record.
In system mode, Apex code has access to all objects and fields— object permissions, field-level security, sharing rules aren't applied for the current user. This is to ensure that code won’t fail to run because of hidden fields or objects for a user.
In Salesforce, all apex code run in system mode. It ignores user's permissions. Only exception is anonymous blocks like developer console and standard controllers. Even runAs() method doesn't enforce user permissions or field-level permissions, it only enforces record sharing.User mode - User mode is nothing but running apex code by respecting user's permissions and sharing of records. For example, logged in user does not have create permission and so he/she is not able to create a record.
In Salesforce, only standard controllers and anonymous blocks like developer console run in user mode.Thanks

MemberSeptember 11, 2018 at 6:41 pm in reply to: What is an external ID in Salesforce? Which all field data types can be used as external IDs?Hi
External ID
This is a field that usually references an ID from another (external) system. For instance, if the customer has an Oracle Financials system that they will be linking with Salesforce, it may be easier for them to be able to refer to the Oracle ID of account records from within Salesforce. So they would create an external ID in Salesforce and they would load the Oracle ID into that field for each account. They can then refer to that ID field, rather than the Salesforce id.Thanks

MemberSeptember 11, 2018 at 6:25 pm in reply to: How do you perform unit test on a Salesforce trigger?Hi,
Unit tests are class methods that verify whether a particular piece of code is working properly. Unit test methods take no arguments, commit no data to the database, send no emails, and are flagged with the testMethod keyword or the @isTest annotation in the method definition. Also, test methods must be defined in test classes, that is, classes annotated with @isTest.
For example:
@isTest
private class myClass {
static testMethod void myTest() {
// code_block
}
}Thanks

MemberSeptember 11, 2018 at 6:15 pm in reply to: How to use If Condition in Apex:pageBlockTable?Hi Madhulika,
You can use if condition in pageblocktable:
For example:
{!IF(history.OldValue == '' && history.NewValue == '', "Created", "Changed history.Field from history.OldValue to history.NewValue}")}"
Notice few things:
You should enclose the condition within {}, which seems to be missing in your code posted
You use ! with the IF and not with the field names in this case (as mentioned above)Thanks

MemberSeptember 11, 2018 at 6:08 pm in reply to: What Is Analytical Snapshot in the report in Salesforce?Hi
Analytic snapshots are simply a snapshot of data on a report that can be taken at a specific time and the data can then be stored in a custom object.
Analytic Snapshots as “allowing you to load data from a Custom Report to a Custom Object on a regularly scheduled basis.” This in turn allows you to create Reports and Dashboards based on the data in the Custom Object.

Beacause properties can do additional things in your code it is like a variable. Properties can be used to validate data before a change is made, to prompt an action when data is changed (such as altering the value of other member variables), or to expose data that is retrieved from some other source (such as another class).
Property definitions include one or two code blocks, representing a get accessor and a set accessor:The code in a get accessor executes when the property is read.
The code in a set accessor executes when the property is assigned a new value.For example:
Public class BasicClass {
// Property declaration
access_modifier return_type property_name {
get {
//Get accessor code block
}
set {
//Set accessor code block
}
}
}Thanks.
