Is it possible to prevent users from reassigning approval requests in Salesforce?

There is currently no way to prevent an authorized approver from re-assigning an approval request to an unauthorized approver/SF user, because there is no way for administrators to remove or restrict the ability of approvers to reassign approval requests.
