    Hello Madhulika

Cross Filter are used to filter the results by including or excluding records from related objects and their fields, without the need of writing formulas or code.

    Hello,

Cross filters are a great way to connect divided data within Salesforce reporting (and fantastic for deduplicating reports too).
Salesforce define Cross Filters as..: “Use Cross Filters to include or exclude records in your report results based on related objects and their fields.”

    Thanks.

    Hi Madhulika,

Use a cross filter to find just the records you need in a report. Cross filters let you fine-tune your results by including or excluding records from related objects, without having to write formulas or code.

    Hi Madhulika,

    • Use cross filters to include or exclude records in your report results based on related objects and their fields.
    • Use cross filters to filter a report by an object's child objects using WITH conditions. For example, filter a report to show just accounts with cases.
    • Here you can have data displayed from the parent and/or child object influenced by related criteria from another object – on this Venn diagram that would be the various intersections (but you can’t display data that is just on the other child object). n.b. The objects do have to be related!

What reports with Cross filter can do:

    • Define a filter to only show parent record that have a related child record.
    • Define a filter to only show parent record that don't have a related child record.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    To add more -

You can filter your report results many different ways using the report builder. Field filters limit results by
the values of fields in the report. But how do you filter results by related objects? Cross filters work like
ordinary filters, but they have some special characteristics of their own.
Add subfilters to further filter by fields on the child object. For example, if you have a cross filter of
Accounts with Opportunities, click Add Opportunity Filter and create the Opportunity
Name equals ACME subfilter to see just those opportunities. You can create up to five subfilters for
    each cross filter.
To change a report filter, hover over it and click Edit or Remove. Your filters display when you run your
report; click Edit on that page to make additional changes.

    Hope this helps.
